You can also use this same, simple recipe for meatballs and meatloaf.  At my house, it is always good to prepare once and eat twice.  So, patty-up some burgers tonight and then put the leftovers in your pasta dish or panini tomorrow night.  

  • 2 lbs. lean ground beef or turkey (Option: combine 1 lbs. Ground Italian Sausage w/beef or turkey)
  • 1 White or Vidalia onion (minced)
  • 3-5 cloves of Garlic (minced) (More if you like it or are afraid of Vampires!)
  • 1 Green or Red Bell Pepper (minced)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 3/4 - 1 cup Italian Breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 -1/2 tsp. Pepper or Montreal Steak Seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil

Saute vegetables (onion, garlic, bell pepper) in Olive Oil with salt and pepper until tender.   In a bowl, combine ground meat, eggs, Worcestershire Sauce and bread crumbs.  Mix well.  Add vegetable mixture to meat mixture once cooled.  Form burgers, meatballs or meatloaf.  Grill or bake until desired internal temperature.  Enjoy! #nomnom
